# About | Bot Traffic Index

Bot Traffic Index tracks automated traffic against ecommerce storefronts - what the bots do, what they cost, and how to tell real shoppers from everything else.

Bot Traffic Index is an independent ecommerce operations publication. We publish practical, specific guidance - practical analysis of storefront speed, traffic quality, and measurement. We do not sell software, take placement fees, or run sponsored rankings. When we recommend a category or approach, it is because the reasoning holds up, not because someone paid.
